Bees know the way.

 Welcome to Term 2 2022.

This term our inquiry theme is "We know the Way".  In Team 1 we will be learning all about Bees and how they find the way to flowers and then back to the hive.  Bee's can even tell each other they way to flowers.  We are going to learn all about this and then we are going to learn how to programme Beebots.

Its going to be a fun term!

The Team 1 teachers put on a play during immersion assembly about our inquiry - we hope you enjoy it.

Exploring Bees through play

We have been learning about Bees.  We have learnt they are insects, and all the parts of an insects body.

Malakhi was using the magnifying glass to get an up close look at insects.  Then he put on his beekeeper hat to check out our hive.

Our Encanto Day

Last Friday we had a day filled with fun and creativity.  In team 3 we all love the Disney movie Encanto.  So we have been doing lots of art and music focused on this theme.

We made a movie for PENN all about it we hope you like it. 

Welcome back to School 2022

Our first week back at school was full of sun, fun and smiles.  It was great to see our friends and meet our teachers.  We began our year with our first assembly held in Te Kapua our outdoor gathering space.

And finished the week with Team 3 sports and a refreshing iceblock.

Prizegiving Day

 Today the junior school got together to honour all the hard work we have put in this year.

We gathered together in our outdoor space Te Kapua for a livestreamed prizegiving so our proud parents could watch us from home.

Well done to our Room 13 winners.  Aita, AJ, Athena and Leylah.  You are amazing.

Later Team One got together to receive lei from their teacher and a yummy treat from Mrs Lal.

Sports Awards

 Congratulations to all our friends in Team 1 that play netball and rippa rugby.  We had a special assembly and Ms Va'afusuaga came with certificates for everyone who played and some for the people who showed great sportsmanship and improvement.

Elf escapades in Room 13

Our classroom elf has been causing lots of fun and laughs in Room 13 this week.  

On Tuesday he tried to eat a candy cane from our tree and got all sticky.   On Wednesday he tried to wrap up our whole classroom in Christmas paper.  Luckily he got trapped in the sellotape and could only do our door.

Today he brought us a snow globe and he was in one too!
