Going to the playground.

We have been learning to write stories about things we have done.  This is called a recount.
Today we wrote about playing on the school playground.

Ashleigh wrote:

I went on the monkey bars.
I went on two times.
I want to go on the slide.

“I felt happy when I went on the monkey bars.
I feel sad because I did not get to go on the slide", said Ashleigh.

Ezekiel wrote:
I went to the park.
I went on the ladder like a fireman.

Room 13 loves to move

This week we have had a lot of fun moving our bodies!

On Monday we had Kiwisport.
This term we have been learning gymnastics.
We learnt how to land safely.. like a motorbike rider.

"I like to bounce and balance" said McKenna.

Yesterday we got to stretch our muscles on the playground.
We all took turns on the slide.
We climbed on the ladders.
We swung on the Monkey bars.

Serena was having fun!

Fun Day Friday - Eating Lava rocks

Today we made Hokey Pokey!
It looked like lava when it was hot and poured out and when it was cold it was hard like a rock.
It was yummy and it crunched when we ate it.
