Today the junior school got together to honour all the hard work we have put in this year.
We gathered together in our outdoor space Te Kapua for a livestreamed prizegiving so our proud parents could watch us from home.
Well done to our Room 13 winners. Aita, AJ, Athena and Leylah. You are amazing.
Later Team One got together to receive lei from their teacher and a yummy treat from Mrs Lal.

Congratulations to all our friends in Team 1 that play netball and rippa rugby. We had a special assembly and Ms Va'afusuaga came with certificates for everyone who played and some for the people who showed great sportsmanship and improvement.

Our classroom elf has been causing lots of fun and laughs in Room 13 this week.
On Tuesday he tried to eat a candy cane from our tree and got all sticky. On Wednesday he tried to wrap up our whole classroom in Christmas paper. Luckily he got trapped in the sellotape and could only do our door.
Today he brought us a snow globe and he was in one too!

Our classroom elf had a sticky time on Friday after we left school. He got into the letter stickers we were using to make baubles for our tree.
We made our names and words that we think of when we talk about Christmas.
On Friday Elf brought us a magic letterbox to send letters to Santa.
We decided to make Christmas cards for Santa and to put them in the letter box so he knows that we are thinking about him.
We choose some Christmas paper and a coloured envelope. Then we wrote our messages. We remembered to address the envelope to Santa.
We had a big surprise on thursday morning. Our classroom elf delivered a Christmas tree to Room13!
We were so excited to see and smell the beautiful tree, He told us he had got stuck in the tinsel and asked us to help him decorate it.
We made ourselves into elves and hung them on our tree!
It has been very hot at Pt England School and that made us all think about ice cream.
Leylah said it is very refreshing and we all agree! This week we have done ice cream maths, ice cream reading, ice cream writing and ice cream art! Finally we got to make and eat some berry ice cream.
We hope you like our movie showing all the fun we had and great learning we did.
We have been playing games to grow our self-regulation. We can race each other and hold bodies still so that we don't drop our balls.
We have to stay calm so that we can move carefully and quickly. It is so much fun that Mrs Dwyer plays too!
