Kiwisport - learning to balance

Monday is a busy day in Room 17.  Today we had our kiwisport lesson.   Coach is teaching us how to balance.

First we played the volcano game.  When coach says lava we have to race to the hoops.  We had fun squashing in with our friends.

First we had to listen to find out the rules of the game.

Aimee, Teuila, and Anais were holding on to each other to balance in the hoop.

Amali-D, and McKenna were having lots of fun.

Bubble blowing

"Today we were blowing bubbles in the sky.  I think they are outside still going. I heard them go pop. I felt dizzy cause I was playing with the bubbles."  said Amali-D.

Anais thought it was fun and wrote about it.
"I blew them with Teuila and Amali-D. I blew big bubbles.
Some popped on my hands and they felt warm."

"I was playing blowing bubbles outside.  The bubbles were blue and silver. They were circles.  They were so big.  I would like to do it again," said Evoron.

Braxton thought the bubbles were like a balloon.  "They were rainbow colours.  I was clapping and popping the bubbles" he said.  Then he wrote a story and drew an amazing picture.

Certificate assembly

Every Thursday Team 1 celebrate the learners who have been showing the Pt England way in their classrooms.

Congratulations to Amali-D who got a certificate for being an amazing helper in Room 17.
She is always ready to help others.  Great job.

Koloti got his certificate for "finishing it off properly".  During our maths lesson Koloti worked hard to cut, glue and match all the numbers, and did it all by himself.  Ka mahi!

Wednesday afternoon's learning...

This afternoon, after lunch play, we first had some yummy apple when we came back into the classroom.  Then we listened to a story about Smiley Fish and our ENGAGE breathing.
Next we coloured in a fish, just like Smiley Fish, which said "Welcome to our school".
